Become a Member
The Best Buy Reward Zone® program ("membership") is open to U.S. residents (excluding Puerto Rico and U.S. territories) at least 13 years of age, who provide and maintain a working e-mail address. Communications about the program, including changes, primarily will be electronic by e-mail or on MyRewardZone.com. By joining the program, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age or older, and by using this program, you agree to the Rules of the program. If you are between 13 and the age of majority (18 or 19 years old, depending on where you live), you agree that you have obtained permission from your parent or legal guardian to be a member of the program. Your membership is nontransferable and is subject to present and future program rules. Your membership is valid only at participating Best Buy® U.S. retail store locations and at BestBuy.com®. Membership begins when you activate at MyRewardZone.com.
Best Buy may, at any time, terminate or modify the Reward Zone program by posting the changes on MyRewardZone.com.
Employees of Best Buy Stores L.P. ("Best Buy"), its affiliates and subsidiaries, and others who are eligible for employee-based discounts or members of any corporate account of Best Buy are not eligible for membership in the Reward Zone program or the Reward Zone program Premier Silver level of the program, except through the Best Buy Reward Zone® program MasterCard® (see Reward Zone program MasterCard Rules for details).
Earn Points
As a member of the Reward Zone program you will earn 1 point for nearly every $1 you spend on qualifying purchases (see "Non-Qualifying Purchases" below) when you show your membership card at the time of purchase in store at Best Buy, or when you enter your membership number online for BestBuy.com purchases. To earn points at BestBuy.com, you must set up a BestBuy.com account. Points will post to your account approximately 30 days from purchase date, delivery date or shipment date. Point calculations are based on dollars spent at checkout on qualifying purchases. When qualifying purchases are returned, points will be deducted from your Reward Zone program account equal to the amount of points earned for that purchase. Points apply only to the first membership card scanned in connection with any purchase. Membership cards, points and Reward Certificates have no cash value. You cannot give or transfer your membership cards, points or Reward Certificates to anyone else. Please keep your membership cards and Reward Certificates in a safe place because they will not be replaced if lost or stolen. Best Buy is not responsible for communications, including Reward Certificates, lost due to change of address, change of e-mail address or other changes in contact information. Other restrictions or exclusions may apply.
Get Rewards
For every 250 points you earn in the Reward Zone program, you will be eligible to receive a Reward Certificate redeemable for a $5 discount off your future qualifying purchase at participating Best Buy retail store locations or at BestBuy.com. 250 Points are automatically deducted from your account for every $5 in Reward Certificate value issued to you. Reward Certificates are not transferable and may only be used by the member to whom issued. Reward Certificates will be available by printing in store, or at MyRewardZone.com, approximately 5 weeks after reaching the issuance level you choose. Reward Certificates are coupons for discounts off future purchases at participating Best Buy retail store locations or at BestBuy.com, and may only be redeemed for a discount off purchase amounts equal to or greater than the amount of the sum of the Reward Certificate(s) presented for redemption, excluding sales tax. Reward Certificates may be used in conjunction with most other discounts or offers toward the purchase of products, not to exceed the purchase amount. Unless noted otherwise on the Reward Certificate, each Reward Certificate will expire if not redeemed within 90 days from the date it is issued. Reward Certificates have no cash value and no change will be given for Reward Certificate redemption. Reward Certificates may be used only once.
Non-Qualifying Purchases
The following items are considered non-qualifying purchases for which points will not be awarded: instant rebates and the value of mail-in rebates on purchases, purchases made for resale or paid with a Reward Certificate or Best Buy Gift Card, sales tax, state fees, shipping charges, delivery charges, service charges, restocking fees, commercial purchases, other excluded charges, and certain items that are excluded in particular promotions. Reward Zone program points will be earned on Best Buy Gift Card purchases but not on Best Buy Gift Card redemptions. Gift Card purchases are excluded from all double, triple and similar point promotions. Members will earn 1 point for every $1 of Gift Card purchases. Other exclusions may apply.
Non-Qualifying Redemptions
The following items are considered non-qualifying redemptions for which Reward Certificates may not be redeemed: prior purchases, purchase of Best Buy Gift Cards, purchases made for resale, payment on any Best Buy credit card, sales tax, state fees, shipping charges, delivery charges, service charges, restocking fees and commercial purchases. Other exclusions may apply.
Program Anuualization
At the beginning of every calendar year, the points in your account (except Premier Silver members) will be changed into Reward Certificates down to the $5 level and any remaining points balance will be forfeited.
Membership Inactivation, Cancellation, Expiration and Termination
Reward Zone program members (excludes Premier Silver members) who do not provide a unique working e-mail address by 10/31/09 will have their membership inactivated.
Reward Zone program members (excludes Premier Silver members) who make no qualifying purchases during any continuous (rolling) 12-month period, your membership will automatically expire on the last day of the 12th month of account inactivity and your account will be inactivated.
You may cancel your membership at any time by notifying Member Services by e-mail or phone. Cancellation may take from 6 to 8 weeks to finalize. Upon cancellation your membership will be inactivated.
If your membership is cancelled or inactivated, you will receive reward certificates down to the $5 level. Any remaining points will be forfeited. For example, if you have 300 points, you would receive a $5 Reward Certificate and you would forfeit 50 points.
If at any time, your point balance becomes negative as a result of a returned purchase or returned purchases we will deduct the number of points corresponding with your return from your account and we may immediately cancel any or all outstanding Reward Certificates issued from your account. We may also terminate your account. Best Buy reserves the right to terminate your membership for any reason or no reason and at its sole discretion.

Reward Zone® program Premier Silver Members
A Reward Zone program member qualifies for Premier Silver status (and the Reward Zone program Premier Silver membership card) 31 days after the member spends $2,500 on qualifying purchases (see Non-Qualifying Purchases in Reward Zone program Rules) at Best Buy® stores or BestBuy.com during a single calendar year. Any return within 30 days of purchase that makes total qualifying purchases less than $2,500 may void qualification. Best Buy may choose to confer the Premier Silver status upon others based on certain purchase behaviors or other nondiscriminatory criteria (dates and benefits may vary for people who are invited to join). If you qualify for Premier Silver status or are invited to join, we will notify you that you are a Reward Zone program Premier Silver member.
Your status as a Premier Silver member will begin when you qualify, will continue through the end of the following calendar year and will end on the last day of the following February. In any subsequent year, a Premier Silver member requalifies for Premier Silver status when the member spends $2,500 on qualifying purchases at Best Buy stores or at Bestbuy.com during that calendar year.
If a member does not requalify for Premier Silver status in the second or subsequent year, Premier Silver status will expire at the end of February in the third or subsequent calendar year and the member's Reward Zone program Premier Silver membership will revert to a standard Reward Zone program membership. (See Membership Cancellation, Modification, Expiration and Termination in the full Reward Zone program Rules for details about what happens when a standard Reward Zone program member does not make any purchase in a single calendar year.) Reward Zone program members with Premier Silver status will receive an additional ¼ bonus point for each dollar spent at Best Buy or on BestBuy.com when they identify themselves as a Premier Silver member. Please note that bonus points are not multiplied.
Except for Premier Silver benefits listed here and described on MyRewardZone.com/premier, Premier Silver members are subject to the same Rules that apply to Reward Zone program members.
The Best Buy Reward Zone program Premier Silver membership Card is the property of Best Buy and must be surrendered upon request.
We reserve the right to modify or terminate the Reward Zone program Premier Silver status or its benefits at any time without notice. Employees of Best Buy Stores L.P. ("Best Buy"), its affiliates and subsidiaries, and others who are eligible for employee-based discounts, or members of any corporate account of Best Buy ("Employees of Best Buy") are eligible for the Reward Zone program MasterCard card (subject to credit approval and certain geographical restrictions) but may not be eligible for special promotional offers using the Reward Zone program MasterCard card at Best Buy locations or online at BestBuy.com®. Employees of Best Buy who ordinarily are eligible for employee discounts will continue to be eligible for those discounts when the Reward Zone program MasterCard card is used. Employees of Best Buy may not be eligible for certain limited-time promotional offers.
Earn Points
As a member of the Reward Zone program you will earn 1 point for nearly every $1 you spend on qualifying purchases (see "Non-Qualifying Purchases" below) when you show your membership card at the time of purchase in store at Best Buy, or when you enter your membership number online for BestBuy.com purchases. To earn points at BestBuy.com, you must set up a BestBuy.com account. Members also receive an additional bonus point for every point earned for qualifying purchases made using the Reward Zone program MasterCard card at Best Buy store locations and online at BestBuy.com. Members also earn 1 point for every $2 dollars of Net Purchases outside Best Buy when using the Reward Zone program MasterCard card. In addition, certain limited-time promotions may be offered for Net Purchases outside Best Buy that may enable members to earn additional points. Net Purchase means any purchase of goods or services, excluding: 1) refunds, returns and/or unauthorized transactions; 2) cash advances; 3) any transaction that is equivalent to a cash transaction, such as, but not limited to, the purchase of wire transfers, money orders, bets, lottery tickets or casino gaming chips; or 4) any annual fee or other fee paid on the Reward Zone program MasterCard card.

If your membership is cancelled or inactivated, you will receive reward certificates down to the $5 level. Any remaining points will be forfeited. For example, if you have 300 points, you would receive a $5 Reward Certificate and you would forfeit 50 points.
If at any time, your point balance becomes negative as a result of a returned purchase or returned purchases we will deduct the number of points corresponding with your return from your account and we may immediately cancel any or all outstanding Reward Certificates issued from your account. We may also terminate your account. Best Buy reserves the right to terminate your membership for any reason or no reason and at it sole discretion.

Reward Zone® program Premier Silver Members
A Reward Zone program member qualifies for Premier Silver status (and the Reward Zone program Premier Silver membership card) 31 days after the member spends $2,500 on qualifying purchases (see Non-Qualifying Purchases in Reward Zone program Rules) at Best Buy stores or BestBuy.com during a single calendar year. Any return within 30 days of purchase that makes total qualifying purchases less than $2,500 may void qualification. Best Buy may choose to confer the Premier Silver status upon others based on certain purchase behaviors or other nondiscriminatory criteria (dates and benefits may vary for people who are invited to join). If you qualify for Premier Silver status or are invited to join, we will notify you that you are a Reward Zone program Premier Silver member.
Your status as a Premier Silver member will begin when you qualify, will continue through the end of the following calendar year and will end on the last day of the following February. In any subsequent year, a Premier Silver member requalifies for Premier Silver status when the member spends $2,500 on qualifying purchases during that calendar year.
If a member does not requalify for Premier Silver status in the second or subsequent year, Premier Silver status will expire at the end of February in the third or subsequent calendar year and the member's Reward Zone program Premier Silver membership will revert to a standard Reward Zone program membership. (See Membership Cancellation, Modification, Expiration and Termination in the full Reward Zone program Rules for details about what happens when a standard Reward Zone program member does not make any purchase in a single calendar year.) Reward Zone program members with Premier Silver status will receive an additional ¼ bonus point for each dollar spent at Best Buy or on BestBuy.com when they identify themselves as a Premier Silver member. Please note that bonus points are not multiplied.
Except for Premier Silver benefits listed here and described on MyRewardZone.com/premier, Premier Silver members are subject to the same Rules that apply to Reward Zone program members.
The Best Buy Reward Zone program Premier Silver membership Card is the property of Best Buy and must be surrendered upon request.
We reserve the right to modify or terminate the Reward Zone program Premier Silver status or its benefits at any time without notice. If we materially modify the Premier Silver status qualification or benefits, we will notify you by e-mail and/or on MyRewardZone.com/premier.
